Instrumentation software, instrumentation and Quality Control

MebTec Technology, Inc.

MebTec Technology Inc. is a North Carolina corporation

based in Chapel Hill, close to Raleigh/Durham/Research Triangle

Park and accessible via I-40 and I-85, and the RDU Airport.

It was founded in 2003 by its current owner Paul Jadot.

MebTec and its partners DataEdge and Techatronics, developed the software suite DataEdge QMS (Quality Monitoring System) designed for the automated collection, storage and analysis of quality control data measured by QA-instrumentation during manufacturing. Utilizing PCs, dedicated instrumentation interfaces, and the client's local area network, DataEdge QMS allows high-speed manufacturing operations to accumulate, monitor and distribute data-information to personnel responsible for maintaining quality control such as operators, technicians, QC department, management, etc.  This provides key benefits in the areas of process improvement and accountability to quality control standards during real-time production while also providing a reference for historical displays and reports.  It was launched in 2004, and its version 5.0 was released in July of 2013. QMS is installed in three continents, and its largest deployments are in Asia.  QMS uses SPC (Statistical Process Control) principles. Its database engine is Microsoft SQL Server.

MebTec is the North American manufacturer’s representative for the German company Tews Elektronik, a leading producer of moisture and density measurement instrumentation using low-powered microwave technology.  Its equipment is used for inline, at-line and laboratory applications.   About 60 inline applications are in use in North America, mostly in the food, pharmaceutical, wood, coffee, tobacco, spices, and fiber industries.  Major pharmaceutical companies use Tews instrumentation for moisture analysis and verification.  In 2013 Tews and MebTec completed several key installations using microwave resonance transmission sensors.  MebTec installed a training room in Chapel Hill.
